In this session, we offer career advice for students and walk them through the steps they’ll take to land an internship. Check out the details below for the process students will follow and what happens when the internship ends. We want to help your students get their career in the automotive industry rolling with an Autotech internship after they qualify.
1. apply and register
Applications usually come in during a visit to your college, we ask for a reference and get candidates registered on our system.
2. Job matching
As vacancies come up, we match individual candidates with the right opportunities.
3. Employer referrals
We send CVs to potential employers for consideration.
4. Interviews
Once we get employer feedback, successful candidates are invited for an interview.
5. Placement secured
Successful candidates get their start date, along with a uniform and toolkit.
6. onboarding and ongoing support
During the internship, candidates get regular support from a dedicated Autotech consultant. Once they finish successfully, they get to keep their toolkit, and the employer might offer them a full-time role!
What happens AT THE END OF an iNTERNSHIP?
While a permanent, well-paid role isn’t 100% guaranteed, the scheme is designed to give interns the best shot at success.
By showing commitment – being on time, working well with the team, staying efficient and keeping a positive attitude – students can really boost their chances of landing a long-term career.
