What is a car body repair technician internship?
It’s a fully paid, 6-12 month placement with a top-tier body shop. You’ll work alongside experienced bodywork technicians, get hands-on with industry-leading equipment, and build the kind of practical, trade-ready experience that’s hard to pick up in a classroom. As a car body repair technician, develop your skills in:
- Panel beating using specialist tools, such as the pin puller
- Applying filler, from heavy to light applications
- Preparing surfaces for detailed paintwork
- Stripping and fitting parts, including door handles, wing mirrors and weather strips
- Masking vehicles effectively for paint application
